2016 Francois St Lo Chenin Blanc Les Fontenelles
Francois St Lo is a rising star in the world of natural wine. After Working for wine makers such as Oliver Cousin and Eric Dubois he has managed to acquire a place in the Anjou region of the Loire where he's set up a natural wine making commune of sorts. Like his mentors he likes to use horses to work the vines. And he uses the many caves on the property for vinification.
We have been patiently waiting for this wine for several years now and are delighted to share this extraordinary wine with you. Old vines of Chenin Blanc from Saumur, direct pressed grapes with elevage in large casks. A golden colour, this is spicy, intense and mineral with crystalline citrus fruit and some marmalade notes. So vital and electric with a touch of salinity. No additions.
