Mortellito ‘Calaniuru’ Rosso 2019
Following years of selling his grapes to iconic natural winemakers such as Frank Cornelissen and Lamoresca, Dario Serrentino began vinifying and bottling his own estate wines in 2014. Located in Val di Noto, in southeastern Sicily, the family estate consists of 25 hectares, 15 of which are vineyards, the remainder are a “mix of ancient olive groves and heirloom almond varieties”. Winemaking is a natural extension of his passion for nature and the land from which he is from. All farming is organic and low intervention, wood is not utilized at all in fermenting or ageing.
