Loire Exploration Three Pack
Loire is a hub of progressive wine makers in France. We've made up a 3 pack for you to explore. We like to include a little discount for you with our packs - even better value for you!
In the Loire - Chenin Blanc is one of the varieties that reigns supreme. Like Riesling it can be sweet or bone dry and everything in between. We've featured Calvez-Bobinet's Chenin Blanc, from Saumur- there's chalky precision, it's bone dry but there's also gorgeous texture. Seriously beautiful. Drink now or lie down for a few years if you'd like some honey spice notes to come forth.
We've got a fun rosé - Piak! A great example of the kind of progressive wines in Loire. This one is a little wild, fruit forward and totally exceptional. We'd recommend opening it and getting some air into it for a few minutes - the slight reduction will blow right off, and the gorgeous fruit that lies within will come to the forefront. It's also a dry rosé, don't let the colour fool you.
Pinot Noir is also grown in Loire - it's lesser known but no less delicious. Pretty, cool climate Pinot from Les Deux Moulins - it's excellent mid-week drop. Raspberries and Spice!
