2021 Architects of Wine 'Macerazione'
We've found you a really fantastic example of a Clare Valley Riesling. Left on skins for 14 days, this adds a breadth and weight whilst also still having laser focus. This is skin contact for the skin contact lovers- textural and savoury, there is an intensity here but at the same time the bright acidity lifts. This is a super food friendly wine.
Orange blossom, dried herbs and yellow peach skin peppers throughout this wine to add complexity and balance the savoury notes at play.
'Architects Of Wine is the passion project of architect turned winemaker David Caporaletti. David’s dream came to fruition in early 2013 after a backyard hobby quickly became an obsession. It’s this experimentation that allows every release and vintage to be completely different and truly reflective of the years conditions.
David's aims with AOW is to create interesting and textural wines with restraint, whilst maintaining transparent expressions of the vineyard, vintage and their individual terroir. The hands off approach to the winemaking allows the purity of the fruit to shine through. All wines are fermented on wild yeasts that are native to their respective vineyards, wines are neither fined or filtered which helps in retaining maximum flavour. There are no additions in the winery apart from small amounts of SO2 when deemed to be required. '
