2022 Vins du Liban Red
Have you ever tried a Lebanese wine? Well, here's your chance!
The 'Vins du Liban' like to take more recognisable grape varieties and then blend it with another, lesser known indigenous Lebanese variety. In this wine you will find Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, and Mariami.
This is a great wine for those who love a medium to more fuller bodied red. It's perfumed -it's floral but at the same time, smells like bitumen after a summer's day downpour. There's black plum, olive and blackberries to boot on the palate. The tannins are slightly drying and gripping, it really reminds us of Nebbiolo. This kind of wine works really well with a rib eye, or lamb shanks - something with a bit of fat. This wine is delicious alone but really comes into it's own when enjoyed with company over a meal.
Organic - just not certified.
