2025 Trutta Skinsy Pinot Gris

'Grapefruit, guava, and blood orange zest mingle together, with savoury texture on the palate.

Vineyard:
From Faraday, about five mins down the road from our winery in Harcourt. Sandy granitic soils, grown at high elevation, around 475m, on the cool south side of Mt Alexander. A few locals have nicknamed the vineyard site Leanganook- this is the indigenous name for Mt Alexander.' - Trutta. 

After years working in Melbourne hospitality and working vintages both here in Australia and abroad, Jake Winther's passion for minimal intervention wine took shape in Europe, leading him to create Trutta. Jake focuses on sustainable practices, and wines driven by site. You won't find a lot of manipulation in these wines - it's good fruit, wild ferments and just a touch of sulphur at bottling. It's pretty impressive what he has accomplished in these wines.
