2024 Tidy Town Swoopy Boi Chill Red

Another grape variety we hope to see more of - this wine has a great acid line, with notes of red cherry, cherry blossom and candied red apple (but not sweet!). Although there is acid, there's also a softness to this wine, which makes it perfect for chilling down. 

A juicy little number we have here! Made with Lambrusco Maestri - do not fear, the sweet lambruscos of yore are long gone. When I was somming for an Italian restaurant - (with basically an entirely Italian wine list), whenever we came to discussing Lambrusco with guests there was often a great fear of it's insipid sweetness - and rest assured this is mostly not the case anymore. There are quite a few sub varieties of Lambrusco - and almost all are famous from the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. You can get everything from a dark sparkling red, lightly sparkling rosé to still and often bright, chillable reds- which is exactly what this wine is.
