2024 Renzaglia Central Ranges Riesling
Bone dry, textural, gorgeous Riesling from the Wambuul Valley - Central Ranges.
This fruit actually had the tiniest bit of botrytis (Noble Rot) something you would be more looking for in a sweet wine however when just the right amount appears in a Riesling fermented to be fully dry it can add some wonderful complexity. Matured in amphora also adds to this slippery, moreish texture.
Makrut Lime, Candied lemon peel, Orange blossom backed with a stoney minerality. This is not Clare Valley Riesling - it is an entirely different beast. And a delicious one at that.
