2024 Trutta Rosé
Treat this wine like a chilled red or more like a rosato - rather than one of those southern french, bone dry, pale rosés. Textural, fleshy and freshly red fruited - raspberry, strawberry, red currant and nectarine make for a fantastic drop.
After years working in Melbourne hospitality and working vintages both here in Australia and abroad, Jake Winther's passion for minimal intervention wine took shape in Europe, leading him to create Trutta. Jake focuses on sustainable practices, and wines driven by site. You won't find a lot of manipulation in these wines - it's good fruit, wild ferments and just a touch of sulphur at bottling. It's pretty impressive what he has accomplished in these wines.
Grown in Elmore, just north of Bendigo, on a certified Biodynamic property.
